colorful welcome back to school text surrounded by elementary school icons

A Message from Our Principal:

Greetings Panther Cubs & Families!

It’s hard to believe we’re already thinking about the 2022-2023 school year. I hope you are having a wonderful summer and have had time to play, laugh, and relax.

I look forward to starting this next school year with the excitement of a new beginning as our renovations have begun!  These are exciting times for the Nora school community as we see our beautiful building become transformed into a learning space that will serve our community for decades to come.

Already this summer, your teachers, counselors, and I are creating the master schedule and planning for a successful 2022-2023 school year. Our outstanding front office, custodial, and technology staff are making sure the building and all the important behind-the-scenes effects are in top order and ready for August 4th.

We can’t wait to see you all and for a great school year!

Sincerely,

Mr. S.

Download the Here Comes The Bus app on your smart phone to track your child’s bus during the school year and to set up notifications when the bus gets close: https://www.msdwt.k12.in.us/transportation/bus-tracking/ .

All students should board their bus at their assigned stop each day.  If you move during the school year, please contact the office to make permanent changes for transportation.

Limited Choice/Non-Resident students’ transportation is the parent responsibility.  Please make sure that your student(s) arrive at school on time in the morning and picked-up on time in the afternoon.

All changes in transportation need to be provided to the office no later than 1:30pm.  We will not be able to honor any requests received after 1:30pm.

Please ensure that your child’s teacher knows how they are getting home each day.  We appreciate your help with this process to ensure the safety of all students.

UPDATED CAR RIDER PROCEDURES:

Due to Nora being currently under major renovation, the entire Eastside of the building is inaccessible to students and staff.  As a result, some alterations will occur in both AM and PM Car Rider lines (Please review the maps below), this may result in much longer wait times while in line.  We encourage everyone to utilize MSDWT buses if possible.

AM (Drop-Off):

  • Enter from Eastside driveway.
  • Follow line of cars down center row (if full start next row to the East).
  • Follow the sidewalk to the South.
  • Students will exit farther South than in previous years.
  • Students will need to PAUSE exiting if buses are exiting / entering the property.
  • Exit property from Eastside driveway.

PM (Pick-Up):

  • Enter from Eastside driveway.
  • Follow line of cars, filling row 1 first, 2 second, and 3 last. Cones will separate rows 1 and 2.
  • Follow the sidewalk to the South, stoping at the cones.
  • Once buses have exited the property, staff will move cones and cars will from a single file row along the front of the building.
  • Students will enter cars and the row of cars will be dismissed. Please DO NOT pull around cars.
  • Exit property from the Westside driveway.

PLEASE NOTE: This will be significantly longer than pervious years! Please be patient!
